Job Opportunity for Mortgage Pre-Closing Specialist

This position involves reviewing loan packages and creating Initial and subsequent Closing Disclosures (CDs) for mortgage pre-closing services. The incumbent will coordinate with Title and Settlement agents to ensure timely closing and verify data accuracy in the CD.

Purpose of the Role:

The purpose of this role is to review loan packages and create Initial and subsequent Closing Disclosures (CDs). This involves coordinating with Title and Settlement agents to ensure an on-time closing and verifying data accuracy in the CD.

Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing loan packages and creating Initial and Final closing documents
  • Requesting fees from settlement agents and performing fee analysis
  • Preparing Preliminary closing disclosure
  • Issuing initial closing disclosures/re-disclosures to clients
  • Reviewing flood insurance/flood certifications, Title commitment, ownership of deed, Loan approval, tax cert, and preliminary closing disclosures
  • Closely monitoring individual closing pipeline, workload, and volume levels for maximum balance and efficiency
  • Reviewing Power of Attorneys (POA)
  • Reviewing Cash to close
  • Creating closing documents and monitoring required waiting periods
  • Requesting preclosing audit prior to Closing
  • Delivering final closing documents
  • Reviewing final closing documents and clearing to fund
  • Ability to understand regulatory requirements and impacts
  • Moderate - High degree of familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field
  • Reviews and prepares disclosures, including Loan Estimate and Closing Disclosure
  • Requesting wire
  • Ensuring disbursement takes place and loan moves to post-close
  • Ensuring proper and effective communication with settlement agents
  • Reviewing signed closing packages for accuracy
  • Providing funding authorization to Title/Escrow Agents
