Embedded Firmware Developer Opportunity

Are you a skilled engineer looking to take your career to the next level? We have an exciting opportunity for a talented Embedded Firmware Developer to join our team.

  • Design, develop, and maintain firmware solutions based on OpenBMC platform technology
  • Work with cutting-edge Yocto-based Linux distributions for embedded systems
  • Implement and maintain IPMI, Redfish, PLDM, and other BMC protocols and features
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring up new platforms and drive innovation
  • Investigate and resolve complex system-level issues involving hardware, firmware, and software
  • Contribute to open-source community projects and engage with industry leaders
  • Develop clear documentation for firmware and system features to ensure seamless integration
  • Support secure boot mechanisms and interact with UEFI/BIOS systems

Key Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in firmware development for embedded systems
  • Hands-on experience with OpenBMC, Yocto Project, and Linux kernel
  • Proficiency in C, C++, and scripting languages such as Python or Shell
  • Strong understanding of device drivers, system bring-up, and low-level hardware interfaces like I2C, SPI, UART
  • Familiarity with IPMI, Redfish, PLDM, and other BMC standards
  • Expert debugging skills using tools like JTAG, gdb, strace
  • Experience working with version control systems like Git and collaboration tools

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Contributions to open-source firmware projects and participation in upstream communities
  • Knowledge of server hardware platforms including x86 and ARM-based SoCs
  • Familiarity with security features like secure boot, TPM, and cryptographic libraries
  • Experience with UEFI/BIOS development or interactions with system firmware
