Job Title:

Oracle UIM Expert

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Oracle Unified Inventory Management (UIM) expert to design, implement, and manage complex OSS inventory solutions. This role provides the opportunity to work with multiple Oracle Communications OSS stack products and contribute to delivering high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead UIM cartridge development, installation, and configuration.
  2. Configure extension points and rule sets for advanced customization.
  3. Model both logical and physical inventory within UIM cartridges.
  4. Integrate UIM with upstream and downstream systems using standard and custom web services, UIM APIs, and SFWS.
  5. Work with UIM Inventory Managers, including Service Manager, CO Manager, and Search Criteria Manager.
  6. Develop and configure Calculate Technical Actions for various services.
  7. Perform code build and deployment for development and testing environments.
  8. Troubleshoot and configure base application packages.
  9. Maintain technical and process documentation in alignment with organizational standards.
  10. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
  11. Support end-to-end implementations while ensuring on-time delivery and alignment with best practices.

Required Skills & Competencies:

  1. Strong expertise in Oracle UIM (7.2.x).
  2. Experience in cartridge development, rule set development, and customization.
  3. Proficiency in UNIX/Linux environments and Unix shell scripting.
  4. Core technical skills in Java, PL/SQL, and WebServices (development and debugging).
  5. Knowledge of network domains such as Wireless, Cable, DSL, and VoIP.
  6. Exposure to Enterprise and Retail Voice/Data/GSM implementations.
  7. Conceptual modeling knowledge for logical and physical inventory.
  8. Familiarity with Oracle RODOD/RSDOD and TMF/eTOM, SID Data Model standards.
  9. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.
  10. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a collaborative environment.
  11. Quick learner with an aptitude for mastering new products and solutions.

Education:

  1. BE/BTech/MCA/MTech in Computer Science, Electrical, Electronics, or Telecommunications.
