
Business Development Specialist

We are seeking a seasoned commercial expert to spearhead our business development initiatives. This role will be responsible for managing the chartering of owned vessels, developing strategic partnerships, and driving profitable employment of the fleet.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage chartering activities for owned bulk carriers, including spot, time charter, and contract fixtures.
- Liaise with brokers, charterers, and operators to identify and secure cargoes and employment opportunities.
- Negotiate charter party terms and oversee the preparation of post-fixture documentation.
- Monitor market movements, freight indices, and competitor activities to support commercial decisions.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders such as operations, technical, and legal teams to ensure seamless contract execution.
- Analyze voyage results, evaluate profitability, and contribute to performance and market reporting.
- Maintain comprehensive records of fixtures, voyage outcomes, and client interactions.
- Provide market insights and feedback to senior management for strategic planning.
- Represent the company at client meetings, industry events, and networking platforms to enhance business development.
- Open to both mariners (any rank) with relevant commercial experience and non-mariners with proven chartering/business development expertise.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Shipping, Maritime Studies, Business, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in commercial shipping or vessel chartering, with exposure to bulk carriers.
