Senior Mechanical Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical design, as well as excellent communication and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, conduct, and supervise engineering assignments involving medium-sized projects.
  • Develop and improve new or existing products and processes.
  • Estimate resource needs and ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Coordinate the work of engineers, technicians, and other stakeholders.
  • Deliver electrical designs from concept to verification and validation.
  • Generate system or subsystem requirements and specifications.
  • Create detailed mechanical drawings and 3D models.
  • Evaluate progress against goals and objectives.
  • Provide technical training and guidance to stakeholders.
  • Generate test protocols and execute tests.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of concepts, designs, and results.
  • Perform failure analyses and investigation reports.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Associate's degree in a related field.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering (MSME).
  • Minimum 5 years of related engineering experience.
  • Preferred: 3+ years of related engineering experience with MSME.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Familiarity with SolidWorks and GD&T.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
