Localization Project Manager Role

Job Description: This is a key leadership role that will manage the entire localization process, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of global content. The Localization Project Manager will oversee translation workflows, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and partner with vendors to achieve business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Coordinate and prioritize localization requests across multiple projects and product categories, managing deadlines, resources, and deliverables.
  • TMS Tools: Leverage industry-leading translation management systems (TMS) such as Smartling and XTM to streamline workflows, optimize quality checks, and enhance collaboration with vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • Vendor Management: Build strong relationships with localization vendors, negotiating schedules, prices, and service levels to meet business requirements.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Product, Engineering, Documentation, Marketing, and Support teams to gather requirements, plan content for localization, and ensure seamless integration of global assets.
Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience in localization project management or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience with TMS tools like Smartling and XTM.
  • Familiarity with internationalization concepts, multilingual QA processes, and cultural nuances is an asset.
