Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Production Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the mechanical maintenance of our Wire Rod Mill stands.

  • Stand change, pass change and guide change scheduling is crucial in ensuring efficient production processes.
  • A thorough understanding of stand assembling, chock assembling and guide box assembling is necessary to optimize performance.
  • Guide shop management involves overseeing the daily operations of the guide shop, including inventory management and spares planning.
  • Preventive, predictive and shutdown maintenance are essential to minimize downtime and inventory costs.
  • Critical spares must be available at all times to prevent production delays.
  • Rolling planning for different sections and their equipment is critical to meeting production targets.
  • Daily roll pass tonnage records must be accurately maintained and updated.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute mechanical maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth production processes.
  • Develop and implement inventory management strategies to minimize costs.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in production engineering or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and maintenance procedures.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
