Remote Dispatch Coordinator Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized professional to manage our transportation operations as a Remote Dispatch Coordinator. This role will involve coordinating the movement of goods from one location to another, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining strong relationships with clients and drivers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Load Planning: Build and manage loads in our transportation management system (TMS) to optimize routes and reduce transit times.
  • Dispatch Management: Coordinate with drivers to ensure they have the necessary information to complete their routes efficiently.
  • Communication: Regularly update clients and drivers on the status of shipments and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Problem Solving: Analyze and resolve any logistical or operational issues that impact the smooth movement of goods.

Requirements:

  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in dispatching or a related field is required.
  • Skill Set: Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in TMS software and other relevant tools is essential.
  • Qualifications: A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a degree in logistics or a related field is an asset.
