Lead Jira Administrator

We are seeking an experienced Jira Administrator to take on a lead role in managing, optimizing, and scaling our Atlassian Jira environment.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Jira administration, governance, integrations, and best practices for enterprise-level implementations.

This includes:

  • Leading the administration, configuration, and customization of Jira Software, Jira Service Management, and Confluence.
  • Designing, implementing, and maintaining Jira projects, workflows, schemes, custom fields, permissions, and notifications.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable Jira solutions.
  • Establishing governance, standards, and best practices for Jira usage across the organization.
  • Managing user access, roles, and security settings in line with organizational policies.
  • Monitoring Jira system performance, conducting regular health checks, and managing upgrades or migrations.
  • Integrating Jira with other enterprise tools and platforms.
  • Developing dashboards, reports, and metrics to support leadership and operational teams.
  • Mentoring and guiding junior Jira administrators or support staff.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 7-9 years of experience in Jira administration, with at least 2 years in a lead or senior role.
  • Strong knowledge of Jira Software (Cloud and/or Data Center) and Confluence administration.
  • Proven experience designing complex workflows, schemes, and automation rules.
  • Hands-on experience with Jira integrations, APIs, and add-ons/marketplace apps.
