Job Title: Data Insights Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced professional to fill the role of Data Insights Specialist. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, expertise in data analysis tools and databases, and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage master data, including creation, updates, and deletion
  • Manage users and user roles
  • Provide quality assurance of imported data, working with quality assurance analysts if necessary
  • Commission and decommission data sets
  • Process confidential data and information according to guidelines
  • Help develop reports and analyses
  • Design and manage reporting environment, including data sources, security, and metadata
  • Support data warehouse in identifying and revising reporting requirements
  • Support initiatives for data integrity and normalization
  • Assess tests and implement new or upgraded software, assisting with strategic decisions on new systems
  • Generate reports from single or multiple systems
  • Troubleshoot reporting database environment and reports
  • Evaluate changes and updates to source production systems
  • Train end-users on new reports and dashboards
  • Provide technical expertise in data storage structures, data mining, and data cleansing

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science from an accredited university or college
  • Work experience as a Data or Business Analyst or in a related field
  • Ability to work with stakeholders to assess potential risks
  • Ability to analyze existing tools and databases and provide software solution recommendations
  • Ability to translate business requirements into nontechnical terms
  • High-level experience in methodologies and processes for managing large-scale databases
  • Demonstrated experience in handling large data sets and relational databases
  • Understanding of addressing and metadata standards
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
