Job Title: Principal Enterprise Systems Architect

This role is responsible for the design, implementation, and management of VMware vSphere virtualization technology on bare-metal server hardware. The ideal candidate will have expertise in implementing and managing bare-metal servers, as well as operating systems such as Microsoft Windows Server OS and Redhat Linux Server OS.

About the Role
  • We are seeking a highly skilled system administrator to join our team. This individual will be responsible for implementing, managing, and supporting VMware vSphere virtualization technology on bare-metal server hardware.
  • The successful candidate will have experience with implementing and managing bare-metal servers, as well as operating systems such as Microsoft Windows Server OS and Redhat Linux Server OS.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Implement and manage VMware vSphere virtualization technology on bare-metal server hardware.
  2. Implement and manage bare-metal servers.
  3. Implement and manage operating systems such as Microsoft Windows Server OS and Redhat Linux Server OS.
  4. Implement and manage various applications that support the operation of the private cloud infrastructure.
  5. Maintain a secure and supportable environment at current release and patch levels.
  6. Apply regular and routine updates and patches to all servers and systems.
  7. Implement and maintain automation solutions to minimize manual tasks.
  8. Directly communicate with clients, hardware/software vendors, and service providers.
  9. Apply mastery level expertise with knowledge of industry trends and ability to apply concepts in support of business requirements.
  10. Finding solutions to isolate, resolve, and prevent the most complex server and system problems across multiple teams/technologies.
  11. Lead troubleshooting efforts to solve problems in the environment.
  12. Independently review and verify changes/solutions of high complexity.
  13. Leading server and systems related improvement projects to meet business needs and customer requirements.
  14. Maintaining organizational SLO, SLA, and business continuity programs.
Requirements
  • Expertise in implementing and managing VMware vSphere virtualization technology on bare-metal server hardware.
  • Experience with implementing and managing bare-metal servers.
  • Experience with operating systems such as Microsoft Windows Server OS and Redhat Linux Server OS.
  • Knowledge of industry trends and ability to apply concepts in support of business requirements.
