Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Develop GIS Solutions: Create custom GIS applications and web-based mapping solutions to meet user requirements.
  • Analyze User Needs: Develop and optimize geospatial workflows and tools to ensure efficient data analysis and processing.
  • Integrate GIS with Enterprise Systems: Integrate GIS applications with various enterprise systems and APIs to enhance data integration and visualization.
  • Develop Automation Tools: Develop scripts and tools for data automation, analysis, and processing using Python/ArcPy.
  • Perform Spatial Data Analysis: Perform spatial data modeling, geoprocessing, and complex spatial analysis to gain insights from geospatial data.
  • Maintain Spatial Databases: Maintain and optimize spatial databases (e.g., PostGIS, SQL Server with spatial extensions) to ensure accurate data storage and retrieval.
  • Create Interactive Maps: Create interactive maps, dashboards, and visualizations using tools such as ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Pro, QGIS, or Mapbox.
  • Conduct Performance Optimization: Conduct performance optimization, testing, and documentation of GIS solutions to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Credentials: Bachelor's or Master's degree in GIS, Computer Science, Geography, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 7 years of experience in GIS development.
  • Proficiency: Proficiency in ESRI ArcGIS Suite (ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Online).
  • Technical Expertise: Strong programming skills in Python, JavaScript (Leaflet/ArcGIS API for JS), or .NET for GIS applications.
  • Database Administration: Experience with spatial databases: PostGIS, SQL Server, Oracle Spatial.
  • Data Transformation: Hands-on experience with FME, GDAL, or other ETL/data transformation tools.
  • Web Development: Knowledge of web development frameworks and APIs (REST/SOAP).
  • Integration: Experience integrating GIS with other enterprise systems (ERP, CRM).
