Site Reliability Engineering Professional

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain distributed, real-time systems that serve key stakeholders in the global business.
  • Optimize system operations through automation and tooling to ensure efficiency and scalability.
  • Build foundational technical components of a robust SRE program across multiple complex systems.
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure changes align with measurable Service Level Objectives (SLOs).
  • Monitor system capacity and performance, identifying potential bottlenecks and sources of instability.
  • Review and provide feedback on automation code developed by peers, maintaining high standards of code quality.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, analyzing their impact on infrastructure and service operations.
  • Participate in or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders, evaluating technologies and automation strategies for optimal solutions.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated work experience as a Site Reliability Engineer.
  • Strong coding skills in Python and PowerShell, with ability to comprehend C# and develop basic applications.
  • Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems, cloud-based services and infrastructure (AWS), Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), and Configuration Management (Ansible).
  • Experience with container technologies including Docker, Kubernetes, AWS EKS, and ECS.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a strong sense of ownership.
  • Commitment to the highest ethical standards.
