Engineering Leader

We're seeking an accomplished Mechanical Engineer to oversee systems integration across diverse aspects, encompassing chamber design, precision motion, enclosure development, safety interlocks, and scaling mechanical builds.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Design for speed, stability, and maintainability: swift specimen exchange, precise and repeatable motion, clean routing, effortless field-replaceable swaps.
  • Develop the assembly and test protocol - fixtures, torque specifications, metrology checks - and drive it from prototype to pilot builds.
  • Qualify and scale India-based and global suppliers, partnering closely to enhance yield and finish quality.
  • Lead system-level integration, balancing optics, electronics, thermal, acoustic, and safety requirements.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Experience delivering precision electromechanical systems - scientific instruments, automation, or similar.
  • Comfortable with vacuum practice, precision motion, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, design for manufacturability.
  • Hands-on problem-solver with a focus on ergonomics and field-service.

Key Deliverables:

  • Fast, reliable sample-to-image experience in the lab and at customer sites.
  • High first-time-pass on mechanical acceptance checks.
  • Robust local supply chain for key mechanical components.
