We seek a Research Scientist to join our team and contribute to our mission. As a key member of our R&D Centre in Bengaluru, India, you will design and execute synthetic routes to prepare small molecules for drug discovery programmes. You will track SAR and optimize potency, selectivity, and properties of small molecules for research programs. Your responsibilities will also include performing purification and structural characterization of compounds, troubleshooting synthetic problems, and optimizing reaction conditions. Additionally, you will provide mentorship and guidance to junior colleagues, maintain accurate lab records, and contribute to technical reports.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in organic chemistry, medicinal chemistry, or a closely related field. A PhD in organic chemistry / medicinal chemistry is preferred, but a Postdoc in organic chemistry / Medicinal chemistry (Optional) or 0-4 years of hands-on experience in working on bench, preferably in an industry will also be considered. The successful candidate will demonstrate creativity and productivity with strong synthetic chemistry problem-solving skills. They will also have excellent oral and scientific/technical writing communication skills, ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team, commitment to lab safety, and familiarity with reaction databases (e.g., Reaxys, SciFinder).
