Job Description:

This exciting opportunity is available for a Senior Piping Design Engineer or Piping Engineering Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for designing, coordinating, and executing all piping and pipeline engineering activities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for design, coordination, and execution of all Piping and Pipeline Engineering activities.
  • Coordinating with clients, subcontractors, project manager, and other discipline engineers.
  • Prepare, review, and approval of all Piping/Pipeline material submittal, Pipe support, shop/fabrication drawings.
  • Prepare, review, and check job specifications and data sheets in accordance with project standard requirements and contractual requirements for purchase of piping materials and equipment.
  • Design of facilities as per project specification, contract scope, applicable codes, and standards.
  • Prepare material takeoff to support project estimation.
  • Develop design and review drawings, documents, and study reports.
  • Review design deliverables and participate in design review meetings with clients.
  • Technical bid evaluation and recommend technically compliant offers for PO procurement.
  • Vendor document review and implement vendor data in design package.
  • Perform discipline check on deliverables developed to ensure quality.
  • Coordinate with design team to carry out design activities.
  • Coordinate with site team, provide technical support, and clarification to resolve queries during construction.
  • Technical evaluation of design packages, verify, and develop Bill of quantities.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you must have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University or equivalent. You should also have 5-8 years of experience in designing piping and pipeline systems, with a strong understanding of international design codes and practices.

In addition, you should be proficient in design software such as AutoCAD, Microstation, Cad Worx, SP3D, Navisworks, and able to perform hydraulic analysis and prepare reports using commercially available software. Familiarity with non-metallic piping system design and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) is also essential.

Benefits:

This role offers a competitive salary of SAR 6,000 to SAR 7,000 per month, depending on experience. Other benefits include working hours of 8 hours a day, 6 days a week, single status, and FAT company-provided.
