Piping Design Engineer for EPC Projects

Job Overview:

Oil & Gas EPC is seeking a highly skilled Piping Design Engineer to lead the coordination and management of Mechanical Engineering discipline-Piping related activities for our projects.

We are looking for an experienced professional who can plan and coordinate the timely execution of piping works by PMC/EPC contractors, ensuring compliance with engineering and safety standards.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in static analysis of critical lines connected with Static & Rotating equipment, Piping stress analysis, FEA analysis for pipe support using Caesar-II.

Must be familiar with relevant design API, ANSI, DIN, BS Codes and experience in PDMS Software for 3D Model, CEASAR II Software for Stress Analysis.

A strong understanding of project specifications and standards is essential, as well as the ability to ensure their strict adherence by PMC/EPC contractors.

The selected candidate will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the timely completion of piping works as per schedule, while maintaining compliance with all standards and specifications.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordination and management of Mechanical Engineering discipline-Piping related activities for the projects.
  • Planning and coordination of the timely execution of piping works by PMC/EPC contractors.
  • Review and approval of designs, piping plans/layouts, piping routing, sizing, isometrics, 3D Models, piping support, line designation tables, corrosion protection, etc. prepared by PMC/EPC contractors.
  • Knowledge of selection and sizing of piping, bulk materials (valves, fittings, bellows, etc.), pipe supports, 3D Models at 30%, 60%, and 90% completion, P&IDs, etc.
  • Hands-on experience in static analysis of critical lines connected with Static & Rotating equipment, Piping stress analysis, FEA analysis for pipe support using Caesar-II.
  • Familiarity with relevant design API, ANSI, DIN, BS Codes and experience in PDMS Software for 3D Model, CEASAR II Software for Stress Analysis.
  • Ensuring Standards and Project Specifications are strictly followed by PMC/EPC Contractors.
  • Ensure timely release of Drawings and other engineering inputs to release Construction Work front.
  • Procurement Monitor Procurement Activities related to piping and bulk materials and alert Project Manager in time to arrest any slippages of Progress or Cost Overruns.

Requirements:

  • B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
  • Preferably PMP certified
  • Experience in Piping design engineering, conversant with engineering & Safety standards related to piping, Exposure of PDMS and other software.
  • A strong understanding of project specifications and standards is essential, as well as the ability to ensure their strict adherence by PMC/EPC contractors.

What We Offer:

An attractive salary ranging between $120,000 - $180,000 depending on experience, plus benefits including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
