About the Role

Key Responsibilities
  • We are looking for someone who can support project leads/teams to effectively implement livelihood activities.
  • You will work closely with the Director – Social Additionality to enhance the technical quality of project interventions.

  • You will issue relevant directives and guidelines for timely and effective implementation of project activities.
  • Identifying operational challenges and coordinating timely solutions with the project team and Director – SA will be another important aspect of this job.
  • You will develop knowledge management products such as case studies, success stories, technical manuals, and booklets showcasing project impact.
  • Promoting reflective practices to continuously refine strategies and approaches for greater impact and scalability will be a vital part of your role.
Enterprise Development
  • We are seeking someone who can establish women-led Plastic Collection Centers and Collection Points within waste collector communities.
  • You will launch e-tricycle-based plastic waste collection initiatives for informal waste collectors.
  • Implementing skill training initiatives and developing market linkages to ensure decent income opportunities for target groups will be a significant responsibility.
  • You will forge partnerships with government bodies, private sector actors, and technical institutions for capacity building, technical and enterprise support.
  • Building strong networks with key stakeholders to support the effective delivery of the project will be essential.
  • Collaborating with government departments, including state urban/rural livelihood missions, will also be a crucial part of this role.
  • You will establish institutional linkages at the district level with banks, incubator/accelerator programs, retail outlets, and e-commerce platforms for financial and marketing support.
Capacity Building
  • We are looking for someone who can organize entrepreneurship awareness and development programs for beneficiaries.

  • Preparing and submitting financial reports on income and expenditure will be essential.
  • Maintaining and analyzing all MIS (Management Information System) data will be another important aspect of this job.
  • You will provide insights and analysis of project activities to the Director – SA and relevant teams as required.
General Responsibilities

  • Upholding PFC's policies, SOPs, and protocols across all levels of the organization will be a significant responsibility.
  • Fostering collaborative communication with stakeholders will be another important aspect of this role.

  • You may be required to travel frequently across India, including on short notice, based on project needs.
  • Collaborating closely with the broader PFC team and external partners will be essential.
Qualifications and Experience
  • A Master's degree in Social Work/Sciences, Entrepreneurship Development, or related fields will be required.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing livelihood or income generation programs in the social sector will be necessary.
  • Experience in social business development will be highly desirable.
  • Prior experience working with informal sectors and vulnerable workforce will be another significant responsibility.
  • You should have a strong understanding of social and environmental sustainability concepts.
  • Proficiency in English, Tamil, Bengali, and Telugu will be essential.
Skills and Competencies

  • Strong analytical, financial, and negotiation skills will be necessary.
