System Engineer Position

We are seeking an experienced File System Engineer to join our team.

  • Design, implement, and maintain file systems in a Linux environment using C, C++, Shell scripting, and Python.
  • Develop on-disk file system experience with NFS v3 and v4, pNFS, CIFS, SMB, or other NAS based File System.
  • Strong understanding of hypervisors like VMWare, Hyper-V, RHEV, OpenStack, Xen, KVM, and their integration with storage systems.
  • Excellent systems programming skills and good understanding of Linux internals.
  • Experience with SAN-based protocols like FC, iSCSI is an added advantage.

This role requires participation in a team on-call rotation providing seven-day week out-of-hours coverage, including after-hours and weekend support work when required.

Requirements
  • BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent degree/experience.
  • Eight to ten years of experience in systems development.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality/error-free deliverables.
  • Experience with engineering development tools and developing appliances/software for enterprise customers.
  • Strong team player with excellent communication skills and self-starter attitude.
  • Excellent time management skills, with ability to independently prioritize, multitask, and work under deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
