Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled PHP Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in back-end development, with expertise in PHP web frameworks like Laravel and CodeIgniter.

The successful applicant will be responsible for managing the central database, ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end. They will also be expected to integrate the front-end elements built by their co-workers into the application.

To achieve this, they will need to plan, design, develop, debug, implement and support REST APIs & web-based GUIs for applications and services. Additionally, they will modify existing software to correct errors, allow it to function in new operating environments, or improve performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage back-end services and data interchange between server and users
  • Develop all server-side logic, definition, and maintenance of the central database
  • Integrate front-end elements built by co-workers
  • Plan, design, develop, debug, implement, and support REST APIs & web-based GUIs
  • Modify existing software to correct errors, improve performance, or allow it to function in new environments
Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of PHP web frameworks like Laravel and CodeIgniter
  • Understanding of fully synchronous behavior of PHP
  • Understanding of MVC design patterns
  • Basic understanding of front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
  • Knowledge of object-oriented PHP programming
  • Understanding accessibility and security compliance
  • Strong knowledge of common PHP or web server exploits and their solutions
  • Understanding of fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
  • User authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments
  • Integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system
  • Familiarity with limitations of PHP as a platform and its workarounds
  • Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes
  • Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases and their declarative query languages
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
