Job Description

We are seeking an experienced WordPress developer to join our team. As a key member of the development team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing high-quality custom WordPress themes and plugins from scratch. You will also work closely with other developers to ensure seamless integration with various WordPress plugins such as WooCommerce, WPML, and membership plugins.

You will take ownership of both back-end and front-end development for WordPress projects, ensuring they are robust, scalable, and meet specific project requirements. This includes platform expertise, custom development, plugin integration, admin panel management, performance optimization, front-end proficiency, back-end development, LAMP environment work, cross-browser compatibility, responsive web design, and adherence to W3C Web Standards/Semantics and Accessibility Guidelines.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • WordPress Platform Expertise: Strong knowledge of the WordPress platform is essential for this role.
  • Custom Theme Development and Plugin Development: Experience in developing high-quality custom WordPress themes and plugins is required.
  • WP Plugin Integration: Expertise in integrating various WordPress plugins, including WooCommerce, WPML, and membership plugins, is necessary.
  • Admin Panel Management: Understanding of how to make WordPress manageable from the admin panel is essential.
  • Database and Code Optimization: Knowledge of database and code optimization for WordPress is required.
  • Front-End Proficiency: Expertise in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript is necessary.
  • Back-End Development: Proficiency in PHP/MySQL and AJAX is required.
  • LAMP Environment Work: Ability to work effectively within a LAMP development environment is essential.
  • Cross-Browser Compatibility: Thorough understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues is necessary.
  • Responsive Web Design: Strong understanding of responsive web design techniques is required.
  • Web Standards & Accessibility: Adherence to W3C Web Standards/Semantics and Accessibility Guidelines is essential.
