Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and self-driven Quality Assurance Automation Engineer to take ownership of our automated testing initiatives and elevate our software quality standards. This role demands a sharp analytical mindset, a proactive approach, and the ability to work seamlessly across both frontend and backend systems.

You will be instrumental in designing and maintaining Selenium-based test suites, identifying gaps in coverage, documenting issues thoroughly, and collaborating closely with product and engineering teams to boost system reliability and defect transparency.

This role is ideal for someone who can bring a structured and detail-oriented approach to ensuring the highest level of software quality. Experience in Agile methodologies, CI/CD workflows, and test management tools like TestRail or Zephyr is a must.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Automated Testing: Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver with frameworks like TestNG or JUnit.
  • Testing Across Platforms: Execute functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing across web and backend platforms.
  • Defect Analysis: Perform root cause analysis on defects and document findings clearly.
  • API Testing: Conduct API testing using tools such as Postman or SoapUI.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps).
  • Enhanced Test Coverage: Enhance test coverage, traceability, and defect visibility.
  • Data Validation: Support data validation to ensure consistent data quality across systems.
  • Quality Advocacy: Advocate for and implement QA best practices across teams.
Required Qualifications:
  • Automation Expertise: Minimum 5 years of experience in QA roles with a strong focus on Selenium automation.
  • Scripting Proficiency: Proficiency in scripting with Java, Python, or similar languages.
  • API and Data Skills: Hands-on experience with API testing and working with large datasets.
  • Test Management Tools: Familiarity with test management tools like TestRail or Zephyr.
  • Methodology Knowledge: Solid understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and CI/CD workflows.
  • Communication and Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and documentation skills.
  • Independence and Self-Motivation: Ability to work independently and manage tasks with minimal supervision.
