Senior AS/400 Support Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to provide advanced technical support for our AS/400 applications.

Job Description:

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the business purpose of the AS400 application and its overall processes/functions. They should be familiar with the system architecture diagram, including interface mechanisms with upstream and downstream systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide L2/L3 support for IBM AS/400 applications.
  • Perform code walkthroughs of complex, critical, or error-prone COBOL, RPG code modules.
  • Understand how the AS400 application integrates with other systems.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot issues on AS400 servers.
  • Document dependencies with L2/L3 support teams and interactions with infrastructure teams for AS400.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 6 years of experience in IBM AS/400 support.
  • Strong understanding of COBOL, RPG III, RPGILE, SQLILE, CLLE programming languages.
  • Familiarity with DB2 databases, L2/L3 Support, and CL commands.
  • Knowledge of communication protocols specific to AS400.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and provide excellent customer service.
