Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Video Developer to join our team.

  • This role is focused on developing and productizing various video codecs solutions on Qualcomm processors for mobile/IoT/Automotive projects.
  • The ideal candidate will have expertise in designing video features and collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and debug multimedia features for mobiles.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Designing and implementing video codecs solutions on Qualcomm processors.
  • Collaborating with systems, software, and hardware teams to productize video solutions.
  • Enhancing video and imaging firmware solutions.
  • Porting and optimizing H.264, HEVC, VP9, and MPEG family video codecs.
  • Providing technical support and guidance to the team.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Strong understanding of signal processing, video compression, and other related technologies.
  • Hands-on experience with H.264, HEVC, VP9, and MPEG family video codec development.
  • Excellent knowledge of assembly programming, multi-threading, and OS fundamentals.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

Working Knowledge

The following skills would be an asset:

  • Experience working with Automotive domain projects.
  • Knowledge of image processing techniques.
  • Understanding of multimedia protocols.

Education

Candidates must hold a degree in Computer Science or a related field.

Preferred Education Level

UG: Bachelor's Degree

PG: Master's Degree or higher
