The Senior Director will be responsible for:

  • Leveraging leadership skills to implement technology and process changes across departments and achieve company-wide objectives.
  • Directly managing multiple areas with strategic focus.
  • Providing high-level direction to teams while overseeing employee populations across multiple platforms, divisions, and lines of business.
  • Serving as the primary interface with senior leaders, stakeholders, and executives, driving consensus across competing objectives.
  • Managing multiple stakeholders, complex projects, and large cross-product collaborations.
  • Influencing peer leaders and senior stakeholders across the business, product, and technology teams.
  • Championing the company culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in software engineering concepts, including formal training or certification.
  • 5+ years of experience leading technologists to manage, anticipate, and solve complex technical items within your domain of expertise and more broadly across the organization.
  • Experience managing large teams and organizations, with a track record of successful leadership in complex, matrixed environments.
  • Demonstrated prior experience influencing across highly matrixed, complex organizations and delivering value at scale.
  • Experience leading complex projects supporting system design, testing, and operational stability.
  • Deep expertise building and operating large-scale high-performance transactional environments with distributed systems and cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, Azure).
  • Deep expertise with enterprise design patterns and industry best practices with experience using modern technology (e.g., Java, Cassandra, Kafka) and design patterns (e.g., microservices, APIs).
  • Experience building, leading, and mentoring technology teams and next-level leaders within the organization.
  • Experience hiring, developing, and recognizing talent.
  • Extensive practical cloud-native experience.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to present to and communicate effectively with key stakeholders across product, technology, data, and design.
