Cloud Engineer Job Description

We're seeking a seasoned Cloud Engineer to join our Tech Center and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of cutting-edge products.

As a key member of our team, you'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams across the globe to design, develop, and optimize Kubernetes-based systems.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Enabling teams to transition their applications to Kubernetes by architecting automated migration pipelines.
  • Developing automation for Kubernetes cluster lifecycle management, including zero-downtime upgrades and scaling operations.
  • Defining and tracking Service Level Indicators (SLIs) and Service Level Objectives (SLOs) for critical platform components.
  • Collaborating with development teams to build platform capabilities.
  • Conducting capacity planning and performance testing to ensure platform scalability.
  • Participating in code reviews, unit testing, and secure deployments to deliver secure and quality code.
  • Staying updated on the latest cloud engineering trends and applying them to solve complex challenges.

Requirements include:

  • A deep understanding and hands-on experience with major cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
  • Experience writing developer tooling in languages such as Go or Python with a focus on Kubernetes, migration automation, and improving developer user experience.
  • Extensive experience in managing and deploying workloads on production-grade Kubernetes clusters.
  • Knowledge of Argo CD and GitOps methodologies for automating continuous delivery.
  • Experience with Kubernetes ecosystem tools like Cilium, Kyverno, and Keda to build robust, scalable, and secure platforms.

Bonus points for certification in Kubernetes Administration or Application Development.
