**Programme Lead - Just Transition**

The International Forum for Environment, Sustainability & Technology (iFOREST) is seeking a Programme Lead for our flagship programme – Just Transition, based in Noida. As a Programme Lead, you will manage and lead the team's work on Just Transition Planning and Investments, strengthening climate action measures and supporting green and inclusive economic development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead research projects on just transition, mentoring and managing team members working in the state.
  • Design comprehensive plans for executing research and engagement assignments, guiding and overseeing quantitative and qualitative research work, including primary research.
  • Lead and guide the development and completion of research reports, policy briefs, factsheets, technical documents, etc.
  • Be accountable for high-quality and timely execution of all committed activities and deliverables.
  • Responsible for overall development of materials for dissemination of research findings, such as impactful presentations, material decks, and opinion articles.
  • Conceptualize new research ideas aligned with programme objectives.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build and leverage networks of stakeholders across segments, including government, industry, financial institutions, CSOs, media, etc., on the domain of work.
  • Conduct high-level meetings and presentations to achieve outcomes, designing and guiding execution of public meetings/convening, high-level roundtables, convenings, etc., to build policy and public engagement.
  • Present institutional perspectives and insights at high-level meetings, designing and managing a comprehensive outreach strategy for the just transition programme.

Other Duties

  • Day-to-day team management and guidance, managing project budgets.
  • Support the development of proposals in coordination with the programme directors.
  • Be part of iFOREST's senior leadership, contributing to policy and contributing to the institution's brand building by representing iFOREST on various high-level public platforms.

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Knowledge and clear understanding of key issues and developments in just energy transition, industrial transitions, climate change, and related matters.
  • Proven skills in socio-economic analysis and research.
  • Strong research aptitude with a proven track record.
  • Experience in undertaking and guiding primary research.
  • Proven track record of high-level engagement with government and industry.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to deliver quality outputs as per goals and targets.
  • Willingness to take up responsibilities as per the organizational need and remain nimble.
  • Experience and track record of managing high-quality teams.

Educational Qualification

Basic qualification: Master's in Development Economics, Public Policy, Applied Economics, or related fields.

Additional qualification: Bachelor's in Engineering, Bachelor's in Economics (Development Economics), or related fields.

Qualifications other than this can be considered if the candidate justifies their qualification in the application.
