Job Title: Static Stress Engineer

About the Role:
  • We are seeking a highly skilled Static Stress Engineer to join our team.
  • The ideal candidate will have expertise in stress analysis and FEM modeling of metallic and composite aircraft structures.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform stress analysis of complex aircraft structures using classical methods, ISAMI, GFEM, and DFEM.
  • Extract loads, stresses, material data, geometry details, and fastener specifications from technical drawings.
  • Apply appropriate static design values from industry standard references.
  • Create and refine Finite Element Models (FEMs) using geometric data.
  • Conduct sizing of primary and secondary structures to meet static requirements.
  • Extract fastener loads and perform detailed joint analysis. Calculate Reserve Factors (RF) for various failure modes, including:
  • • Strength
    • Buckling (Column & Panel)
    • Shear panel failure
  • Identify and implement low RF mitigations using analytical or numerical methods.
  • Prepare stress certification dossiers, including ACD4 and SSR reports.

Requirements:

  • 5-7 years of experience in stress analysis and FEM modeling.
  • Strong understanding of aircraft structures and materials.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work collaboratively as part of a team.
