Job Title:

Structural Design Specialist

 

We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Design Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our structural engineering group, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and detailed 3D models and structural drawings using BIM software.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain 3D models and structural drawings in Revit and AutoCAD based on engineering markups and design requirements.
  • Collaborate with architects, MEP engineers, and other disciplines to ensure model consistency and accuracy.
  • Produce high-quality shop drawings, detailed sections, and reinforcement detailing as required.
  • Update and maintain BIM models throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure compliance with local and international building codes and company standards.
  • Assist in clash detection and coordination using Navisworks or other BIM coordination software.
  • Verify the quality of drafted output and manage drawing revisions.
  • Participate in coordination meetings to provide input on constructability and detailing issues.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum [3-5] years of experience as a structural designer or draftsman, with at least [2] years using BIM/Revit.
  • Proficiency in Revit Structure, AutoCAD, and familiarity with Navisworks.
  • Strong knowledge of structural systems (RC, steel, post-tensioning, etc.) and detailing standards.
  • Experience working on large-scale buildings, infrastructure, or villa projects is an advantage.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Good communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in Revit or BIM is a plus.
  • Familiarity with ISO 19650 or other BIM standards.
  • Experience working in consultant or contractor environments in the UAE or GCC region.
