Occupational Health and Safety Manager

Establish a comprehensive framework for ensuring workplace safety, guaranteeing compliance with health and safety regulations.

About the Role

This position requires an experienced leader to develop and implement occupational health and safety strategies aligned with organizational objectives.

  • Design, execute, and maintain an occupational health and safety strategy that prioritizes employee well-being and minimizes risk exposure.
  • Ensure regulatory adherence by verifying compliance with relevant Acts, regulations, standards, and permits.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement effective control measures.
  • Investigate incidents, determine root causes, and introduce corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Develop emergency response plans, conduct drills, and ensure preparedness to handle unexpected situations.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and deliver occupational health and safety training programs for employees.
  2. Monitor and report on key performance indicators related to occupational health and safety.
  3. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to foster strong communication channels and promote a culture of safety.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in occupational safety and health or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in occupational health and safety management, preferably in metal & mining industry.
  • Approved Safety Officer as per Odisha Factory Act.
  • Strong knowledge of Factory Act, Environmental guidelines, occupational health and safety regulations, and best practices.
