Role Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Primary Years Programme (PYP) leader to spearhead the development and implementation of our PYP curriculum.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of educators in delivering high-quality learning experiences that cater to the diverse needs of students. Key Responsibilities include:

  • Developing, implementing, and reviewing the PYP curriculum in alignment with IB guidelines.
  • Collaborating with teachers to ensure effective delivery of the PYP and fostering a culture of inquiry and reflection.
  • Providing guidance and support for teachers in the development of transdisciplinary units and inquiry-based learning experiences.
  • Organizing and leading professional development workshops and training sessions for staff.
  • Engaging with parents and the school community to promote understanding of the PYP.
  • Coordinating and supporting student assessments and maintaining records as per IB requirements.
  • Staying updated with IB developments and changes to ensure the school's adherence to IB standards.

Requirements:

  • Master's Degree or Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field
  • IB PYP Coordinator training or certification.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in teaching and a strong understanding of the IB framework, particularly the PYP.
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong leadership abilities and a commitment to professional growth.
