Job Overview:

A highly skilled professional is sought after to lead the analysis and testing of EMI/EMC in the automotive industry. The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of EMC/EMI test standards, requirements, and methods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with design engineers, project managers, and regulatory agencies
  • Review electronic component datasheets for EMC protection schemes development
  • Analyze schematic and PCB layouts for EMC compliance
  • Formulate system and circuit board level EMC protection strategies
  • Design reviews and calculations for EMI and EMC compliance
  • Interpret EMC standards and develop test plans
  • Conduct EMC testing and analysis
  • Provide technical guidance on EMC design principles
  • Negotiate EMC/EMI deviations with clients

Requirements:

  • 6-8 years of experience in EMI/EMC analysis and testing
  • Familiarity with automotive EMC/EMI test standards and requirements
  • Digital and analog circuit design skills and schematic capture proficiency
  • PCB layout process and tool expertise
  • Simulation skills through functional and logical models and system analysis
  • Laboratory equipment operation skills (network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, oscillators, signal generators, and EMC chambers)
  • RF and EMC standard knowledge (FCC, CISPR-25, ECE-R10, AIS-004, IEC, EN)
  • SW validation tests and test scripts management skills
  • EMC documentation skills (test plans, procedures, reports, and certificates)
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
