Job Title

Emeritus offers a unique opportunity for experienced professionals to shape the student experience as a Learning Support Specialist. As a subject matter expert, you will play a key role in guiding students through their learning journey and ensuring they receive the support they need to succeed.

This is a full-time, remote position that requires strong industry knowledge, excellent interpersonal skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and respond to student inquiries via the learning management system and learner support software within 24 hours or less
  • Provide clear guidance on complex assignments and questions using industry knowledge and expertise
  • Offer prompt feedback that helps students develop problem-solving skills and advance their knowledge
  • Collaborate with the Emeritus team to enhance course delivery and address unexpected challenges
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of work experience in data engineering, data science, or data analytics
  • Professional/academic experience in machine learning and artificial intelligence
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, Python, and GitHub
  • Experience using data visualization tools (i.e. Tableau)
  • Experience using Microsoft Azure
  • Advanced academic background in mathematics, particularly statistics, calculus, and linear algebra
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to work with diverse student populations
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience using Slack and Teams as communication tools
  • Experience working with support/service software or ticketing systems
