Urban Development Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Urban Development Specialist to support our initiatives in creating vibrant and accessible urban spaces.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of urban planning principles and sustainable development practices, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in project coordination or a related field.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and execution of projects focused on complete streets and sustainable urban design.\
  • Conduct site visits and gather data to inform project planning and design.\
  • Assist in the preparation of design concepts, presentations, and reports related to complete street projects.\
  • Coordinate with stakeholders, including government agencies and community groups, to ensure effective project implementation.\
  • Assist in organizing and facilitating community consultations and workshops to gather valuable feedback.\
  • Conduct research on best practices in urban landscape design and complete streets, supporting project development.\
  • Collect and analyze data to evaluate project outcomes and inform future initiatives.\
  • Prepare project documentation, progress reports, and presentations.\
  • Assist with the logistical coordination of project-related events and activities.\
  • Demonstrate excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.\
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).\
  • Familiarity with design software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, GIS) is desirable.\
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.\
  • Passion for creating vibrant and accessible urban spaces.\
