GIS Developer

We are seeking a highly motivated GIS developer with 3-5 years of experience as a geospatial specialist.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong grasp of ArcGIS, Python and JavaScript and deploy scalable solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop, deploy and maintain connectors to connect with customer interfaces
  • Communicate and understand technical requirements of customers interfaces and develop appropriate architecture for implementations
  • Analyze, review and modify programming systems including encoding, testing, and debugging
  • Ensure that software can be completely integrated into the customer's system
  • Coordinate software integration and maintain technical documentation

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • ArcGIS Desktop/Pro, Enterprise Geodatabase, Portal for ArcGIS, ArcGIS Online
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript/Python and understanding how to build high-performance UI applications capable of visualizing large amounts of data
  • Experience with front-end technologies (e.g. React, HTML, JavaScript, CSS languages and frameworks)
  • Knowledge of Azure Cloud is preferable
  • Proven experience developing dynamic front-end web applications
  • Writing clean code with well-defined abstractions that reduce complexity
  • Passionate about implementing responsive and user-friendly interfaces
  • Knowledge and utilization of REST API and other web services for integrating
  • Experience with at least one RDBMS (SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.) and strong SQL skills
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration
  • Master's degree, GIS, Geographic Science, Computer Science, Survey Engineering, Related Field, or related bachelor's degree with some relevant experience
