Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Legal Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in contracts, EPC projects, and dispute resolution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Draft, review, and negotiate various contracts including EPC, subcontractor, vendor, consortium, joint venture, and consultancy agreements.
  • Interpret contract clauses and ensure alignment with commercial and project objectives.
  • Monitor contractual obligations, variations, claims, and disputes throughout the project lifecycle.
Legal Advisory & Risk Management
  • Provide proactive legal advice on project execution, procurement, labor, environmental, and regulatory matters.
  • Identify legal risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Advise project and procurement teams on legal and contractual issues during bid, execution, and closure phases.
Litigation & Dispute Resolution
  • Manage and coordinate litigation, arbitration, and other dispute resolution processes.
  • Liaise with external legal counsel, government authorities, and stakeholders as needed.
  • Prepare legal documentation and represent the company in legal proceedings, where required.
Compliance & Governance
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws (labor laws, contract law, environmental regulations, tax, etc.) across multiple project jurisdictions.
  • Maintain legal documentation, licenses, and regulatory filings.
  • Support audits, due diligence, and internal compliance initiatives.
Stakeholder Management
  • Collaborate with internal departments (finance, HR, operations, projects) to provide legal support.
  • Conduct legal training and awareness programs for teams across the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Law from a recognized university.
  • Registration with Bar Council of India (mandatory).
  • Specialization or certification in contract law, construction law, or infrastructure law is a plus.

Experience:

  • At least 8 years of experience in legal roles, with a strong focus on contracts, EPC projects, and dispute resolution.
  • Prior experience in infrastructure, construction, oil & gas, power, or renewable energy sectors preferred.

Key Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of EPC contract structures, FIDIC conditions, and local/international contract law.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage complex legal issues under pressure.
  • Strong analytical and documentation abilities.
  • Familiarity with legal aspects of project finance and cross-border transactions is a plus.
