SAP SD Consultant Job Description

About the Role

Rigel Networks Pvt. Ltd. is seeking an experienced SAP SD Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of SAP Sales and Distribution (SD) module configurations, including Order to Cash (OTC), pricing, billing, shipping, and logistics execution.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Customize and configure the SAP SD module to meet business requirements, ensuring alignment with organizational processes and goals.
  2. Analyze and improve existing business processes related to sales, distribution, and billing to optimize efficiency and accuracy.
  3. Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify opportunities for process enhancements and provide innovative solutions.
  4. Work closely with other SAP functional teams (FI/CO, MM, PP, and WM) to ensure seamless integration of the SD module with other modules.
  5. Manage cross-functional requirements and integration points between SD and other modules.
  6. Lead and participate in full-cycle SAP SD implementation projects, including requirement gathering, blueprinting, configuration, testing, training, and post-go-live support.
  7. Contribute to global rollouts and template design for multiple business units and geographies.
  8. Provide Level 2/3 support for SAP SD issues, troubleshoot and resolve user-reported problems, and maintain system stability.
  9. Conduct root cause analysis for recurring issues and propose long-term solutions to improve system performance.
  10. Ensure accurate and efficient management of master data related to customer, pricing, and materials in the SAP SD module.
  11. Develop and implement best practices for data governance and quality assurance.
  12. Develop and support standard and custom SD reports, ensuring accurate representation of sales data and KPIs for decision-making.
  13. Utilize SAP reporting tools like SAP Fiori, SAP BW, or SAC for advanced analytics and dashboards.
  14. Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation, including functional specifications, process flows, and user guides.
  15. Conduct training sessions for end-users, ensuring a thorough understanding of the SD processes and system usage.
  16. Manage change requests, including assessment, approval, and implementation, ensuring compliance with organizational standards.
  17. Adhere to compliance requirements and ensure that all processes meet internal and external audit standards.
  18. Collaborate with project managers, technical teams, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality project outcomes.
  19. Provide input on project planning, timelines, and resource requirements.

Requirements

  • 6 - 8+ years of SAP SD experience, including at least 2 full-cycle implementation projects.
  • Deep knowledge of core SD functionalities, including sales order processing, pricing, billing, shipping, and logistics execution.
  • Strong understanding of integration points with other SAP modules (FI/CO, MM, PP, WM).
  • Proven experience in customizing and configuring the SAP SD module to meet business requirements.
  • Ability to perform complex troubleshooting and provide effective solutions for SAP SD issues.
  • Knowledge of SAP S/4 HANA SD functionalities and Fiori applications.
  • Experience with global rollouts and multi-country implementations.
  • SAP Certification in SD or related modules.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
