Job Title: Database Server Specialist

In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and management of database servers across various platforms. This includes ensuring the security and integrity of the databases by applying security patches and upgrading versions of SQL Server.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Installation and configuration of database servers on Unix and Windows platforms.
  • Applying security patches and upgrading versions of SQL Server database.
  • Management of database objects including user accounts, tables, indexes, roles, privileges, profiles, link servers, materialized views, partitioning, synonyms, sequences, views, and indexes.
  • Performance tuning of databases to ensure optimal performance.
  • Restoration and recovery of databases in case of failures or data loss.
  • Hands-on experience with high availability solutions such as AlwaysOn, replication, log shipping, mirroring, and clustering.


Requirements:
  • Experience with SQL 2012 and 2016 database creations.
  • Strong knowledge of database security and compliance regulations.
  • Good understanding of performance tuning techniques and tools.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
