Release Management Opportunity

A key leadership role exists for a seasoned Release Manager to oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of high-quality software releases across complex, large-scale environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop, maintain, and manage comprehensive release plans that outline timelines, milestones, and dependencies across the release lifecycle.
  2. Collaborate closely with Development, QA, Operations, and Product Management teams to ensure all teams are aligned and prepared for upcoming releases.
  3. Identify, track, and mitigate potential risks or issues that could impact release timelines or quality.
  4. Ensure all changes are well-documented, communicated, and approved according to established change control processes.
  5. Coordinate deployments in cloud environments (e.g., AWS), ensuring compliance with relevant security and operational policies.
  6. Drive automation practices to improve release reliability and efficiency.
  7. Track release progress and provide regular updates, including detailed performance metrics and status reports to stakeholders.
  8. Lead the resolution of issues during release phases to ensure minimal disruption to operations.
  9. Maintain and manage the organization's release calendar, ensuring coordination with all relevant stakeholders.
  10. Oversee the merging of validated changes into main code branches, coordinating closely with development and QA teams.
  11. Present planned changes in meetings and secure approvals as required across different regions.
  12. Conduct readiness assessments before deployment.
  13. Monitor post-release performance and facilitate Post-Implementation Reviews (PIR).
  14. Ensure all release-related documentation is complete, up-to-date, and meets compliance/audit standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  1. Certification in cloud technologies (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect)
  2. Familiarity with containerization (e.g., Docker) and orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes)
  3. Experience with monitoring and observability tools
  4. Strong understanding of release processes in complex, large-scale environments
  5. Proven ability to drive process improvements and optimize workflows
