Ship Solutions Engineer

We are seeking a Ship Solutions Engineer with expertise in Naval Architecture to join our team. As a Ship Solutions Engineer, you will work closely with our data scientists to develop digital solutions for large container ships.

The ideal candidate will have experience in designing and building vessel digital twins, fuel performance curves, and other ship hydrodynamic performance models. You will also have hands-on experience with solutions like vessel digital twin and vessel hydrodynamic simulation.

Responsibilities:
  • Analyze container ship operations data and help conceptualize building digital twins of large container vessels.
  • Identify relevant data needed to build container ship digital twins and guide data scientists on the right domain inputs.
  • Help build and guide data scientists with the right and proactive domain inputs for building digital twins.
  • Develop tactical solutions for avoiding parametric and synchronous rolling.
Requirements:
  • At least 12-20 years of experience in naval architecture.
  • Hands-on experience in conceptualizing and building container vessel fuel consumption curves and other ship hydrodynamic performance models.
  • Excellent appreciation and/or experience of data science subjects – simulation, optimization, ML models etc.
  • Strong consulting skills – leadership in uncertain and ambiguous situations.
  • Excellent communication skills – spoken, written and in client-facing roles.
