Software Tester and QA Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Software Tester and QA Engineer to ensure the quality of software applications through thorough testing and QA processes.

  • Testing and Quality Assurance:
  • Develop and implement test plans, test cases, and test scripts for various applications.
  • Execute manual and automated testing across different environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Configure and manage web applications using IIS (Internet Information Server), Apache, and Tomcat.
  2. Ensure optimal performance and availability of web servers.
  3. Collaborate with database teams to validate applications against SQL Server or Oracle databases.
  4. Develop tests to confirm data integrity and performance.
  5. Identify, document, and track defects using issue tracking systems.
  6. Work with development teams to resolve issues and meet quality standards.
  7. Utilize testing frameworks and tools to automate test processes, improving test coverage and efficiency.
  8. Conduct performance and load testing scenarios to ensure applications meet performance benchmarks.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in software testing and quality assurance.

Technical Skills:

  • Knowledge of IIS, Apache, and Tomcat for web server management.
  • Proficient in SQL Server or Oracle for database testing and validation.
  • Experience with manual and automated testing methodologies.
  • Familiarity with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail) and defect tracking systems.

Desired Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
