Data Engineering Expert

About the Role:
  • We are seeking a highly skilled data engineer to lead our team in developing and implementing cutting-edge data solutions.
  • The ideal candidate will possess exceptional mathematical and engineering expertise, natural curiosity, and creative problem-solving skills to drive innovation and growth.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop scalable data pipelines and architectures.
  • Triage technical issues and implement effective solutions to ensure seamless data flow and optimal performance.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and develop tailored data models to meet business needs.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members to foster their growth and development.
  • Drive technical discussions and debates to ensure alignment with industry best practices and emerging trends.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's and/or master's degree in computer science or related field.
  • Total 5+ years of IT experience and 3+ years' experience in data warehouse/ETL projects.
  • Expertise in Snowflake – data modeling, ELT using SQL, implementing stored procedures, and standard DWH and ETL concepts.
  • Hands-on experience with Snowflake utilities, SnowSQL, SnowPipe, and other related tools.
  • Experience in data migration from RDBMS to Snowflake cloud data warehouse.
  • Deep understanding of star and snowflake dimensional modeling.
  • Proficiency in RDBMS, complex SQL, PL/SQL, Unix shell scripting, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
  • Certified in Snowflake (SnowPro Core) is desirable.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
