Cloud Operations Expertise

The ideal candidate will possess hands-on expertise in cloud infrastructure, scripting/programming, monitoring, and cost optimization. They will have a passion for improving reliability and efficiency.

Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure costs across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
  • Track daily/weekly usage, spending patterns, and billing reports, highlighting anomalies.
  • Develop scripts/automation for cost reporting, resource clean-up, and efficiency improvements using Python, Bash, or similar languages.
  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to right-size compute, storage, and database resources.
  • Identify and implement reserved instances, savings plans, auto-scaling policies, and storage lifecycle policies to reduce costs.
  • Utilize native tools like AWS Cost Explorer, CloudWatch, GCP Billing, as well as third-party monitoring platforms.
  • Contribute to SRE/DevOps practices by monitoring infrastructure reliability while balancing costs.
Requirements:
  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS and/or GCP services (EC2, S3, IAM, GKE, BigQuery, etc.).
  • Experience in cloud cost monitoring & optimization.
  • Proficiency in at least one scripting/programming language (Python, Bash, Shell, etc.).
  • Understanding of SRE concepts: reliability, scalability, monitoring, and automation.
  • Prior experience in cost analysis and optimization for enterprise workloads.
