Job Overview:

As a key member of our cloud infrastructure engineering team, you will use AWS CDK with Python to design and implement scalable cloud infrastructures.

You will collaborate with DevOps and architects to migrate and automate cloud environments using CDK CLI commands and Boto3 SDK. The role requires experience with Python packaging tools, testing frameworks like pytest, and debugging/validation tools such as flake8.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain AWS infrastructure as code using AWS CDK and Python.
  • Create reusable CDK constructs modeling AWS infrastructure using Python 3.x scripting and classes.
  • Automate AWS service interactions beyond CDK leveraging Boto3.
  • Manage project environments and dependencies using pip, virtualenv, or venv.
  • Use CDK CLI commands (cdk synth, cdk deploy) to build and deploy cloud stacks.
  • Write and execute unit and integration tests for infrastructure code using pytest.
  • Debug and validate infrastructure code quality with tools like flake8.
  • Collaborate closely with DevOps teams to troubleshoot deployment failures and runtime issues.

Requirements:

  • Strong proficiency with AWS Cloud Development Kit (AWS CDK) and Python SDK.
  • Solid experience with Python 3.x syntax, scripting, and object-oriented programming.
  • Experience using AWS Boto3 SDK for automation.
  • Familiarity with Python packaging and environment management.
  • Practical knowledge of infrastructure automation using Python scripting.
  • Experience running CDK CLI commands.
  • Experience writing and running tests with pytest.
  • Skills in debugging and code validation using tools like flake8.
  • Ability to troubleshoot CloudFormation stack failures and runtime errors.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to write clear technical documentation.
