Data Engineer Job Description

As a key member of our data team, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and build scalable data pipelines that support analytics and reporting needs. You will be responsible for integrating structured and unstructured data from various sources into data lakes and warehouses.

You will work closely with product owners, architects, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions, and participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and DevOps practices for continuous integration and deployment.

To ensure the success of our data engineering initiatives, you will apply dimensional modeling, star schemas, and data warehousing techniques to support business intelligence and machine learning workflows. Additionally, you will manage environments, performance tuning, and configuration for cloud-native data solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and optimize DBT models to support scalable data transformations
  • Collaborate with data scientists and architects to design and implement scalable data pipelines
  • Manage environments, performance tuning, and configuration for cloud-native data solutions
  • Apply dimensional modeling, star schemas, and data warehousing techniques to support business intelligence and machine learning workflows
Required Skills and Qualifications

To excel in this role, you will need:

  • Proficiency in SQL and one other programming language
  • Experience in designing, developing, and scaling complex data & feature pipelines feeding ML models
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • 5+ years of data engineering or design experience
  • 5+ years of experience in ML lifecycle using Azure Kubernetes service (preferred)
