Job Title: Cloud Data Engineer

Cloud data engineers play a crucial role in designing and implementing scalable data pipelines to extract insights from complex data sets.

 

  • Develop and maintain large-scale data processing systems utilizing cloud-based services such as BigQuery, Cloud Data Fusion, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, Composer, Cloud Function, and Cloud Run.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders to understand business requirements and deliver high-quality data solutions that meet business objectives.
  • Implement robust data integration strategies to ingest, process, and store structured and unstructured data from various sources.
  • Optimize data pipeline performance, ensuring scalability, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity through data validation, cleansing, and transformation processes.
  • Design and maintain data models, schemas, and metadata to support analytics and reporting.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption to data workflows.
  • Stay current with the latest cloud technologies and best practices, providing recommendations for continuous improvement and innovation.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 4-6 years of experience in data engineering with a strong focus on cloud computing.
  • Proficiency in cloud services including BigQuery, Cloud Data Fusion, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, Composer, Cloud Function, and Cloud Run.
  • Strong programming skills in Python and PL/SQL.
  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and best practices.
  • Familiarity with data integration tools and frameworks.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
