Lead Retail Store Manager

  • Key Responsibilities:
  1. Store Operations & Brand Standards
    • Manage daily store operations including opening/closing, cash handling, and POS systems.
    • Maintain a luxury brand identity through visual merchandising, cleanliness, and ambience.
    • Implement seasonal campaigns, promotions, and new collection launches.
  2. Sales & Customer Experience
    • Drive sales to achieve revenue targets.
    • Provide personalized styling guidance for customers.
    • Handle escalated customer queries and ensure smooth exchange/return processes.
    • Cultivate long-term relationships with loyal customers.
  3. Team Leadership
    • Recruit, train, and supervise sales staff and support personnel.
    • Monitor staff performance, set targets, and conduct team meetings.
    • Motivate the team to deliver exceptional shopping experiences.
  4. Inventory & Stock Control
    • Oversee stock movement, replenishment, tagging, and barcoding.
    • Maintain accurate records of saree collections and minimize stock loss/shrinkage.
    • Provide timely feedback on bestsellers and market trends.
  5. Marketing & Engagement
    • Execute in-store events such as festive saree showcases and draping workshops.
    • Coordinate marketing activities including influencer visits and live streaming.
    • Promote store offers and exclusive collections.
  6. Reporting & Compliance
    • Prepare daily/weekly sales and footfall reports.
    • Ensure compliance with billing and company policies.
    • Maintain safety and operational excellence.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent communication in English, Bengali, and Hindi.
  • Knowledge of ethnic wear fabrics, draping styles, and customer preferences.
  • Customer-first mindset with problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to thrive in high-footfall seasons.
  • Proficiency in billing software and MS Office.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree (preferred in Retail, Fashion Management, or Business).
  • 4–6 years of experience in apparel/ethnic retail management.
  • Proven success in achieving sales targets and leading retail teams.
