We are seeking a seasoned operations leader for our wind energy site. The ideal candidate will be an accomplished professional with expertise in operational excellence, possessing the ability to plan and execute maintenance activities to ensure optimal performance of wind turbines, manage resources effectively, and lead a team of service engineers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Planning: Develop and implement plans for effective utilization of resources, prioritizing maintenance activities and assigning duties to service engineers. Foster a culture of accountability, assist, and evaluate team performance, identifying training needs.
  • Problem-Solving: Independently resolve routine service-related issues (e.g., equipment malfunction, breakdowns) and personnel-related problems. Escalate unusual or serious issues to your superior in a timely manner.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Maintain open communication with customers, providing regular updates on turbine performance and building strong relationships. Coordinate with local authorities for routine transactions.
  • Compliance & Reporting: Ensure all site activities adhere to HSE, Legal/Statutory/ISO requirements. Maintain all relevant documentation, checklists, and service bulletins. Prepare and maintain records for service invoices and receivables.
  • Cost Management: Monitor and control expenses at the site, reporting any variances. Manage inventory levels and initiate replenishment actions as needed.
  • Site Maintenance: Oversee the upkeep of office facilities, surroundings, and guest houses, monitoring service providers' activities.
Qualifications
  • A degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Proven experience in a leadership or site management role within O&M.

  • Resource Optimization: Strong skills in forecasting, planning, monitoring, and controlling resources.
  • Cost Awareness: A keen awareness of operational costs and a proactive mindset to reduce waste.
  • Problem-Solving: Analytical ability to conduct Root Cause Analysis and solve service-related problems.
  • Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of maintenance, service, and repair of equipment, including knowledge of spare parts and warranty processes.
  • Communication: Effective communication skills for interacting with stakeholders, government bodies, and internal departments.
