Senior FPGA Development Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior FPGA Development Specialist to lead the design and development of complex FPGA designs for our test products in a fast-paced environment.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams including R&D Project Managers, Product Architects, Solution Teams, FPGA developers, Software Qualification and Software Engineers to develop new product offerings and improve existing ones.

The ideal candidate should be a strong team worker able to collaborate with other design teams located globally.

  • Essential qualifications include a Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in electrical/electronic engineering and at least 7+ years of R&D experience in FPGA development using Altera and Xilinx tools.
  • Experience with RTL languages such as VHDL or Verilog and Xilinx FPGA Tools Design Flow is also required.
  • Preferred qualifications include experience with Keysight instruments, working on various protocols such as PCI Express, USB, MIPI, Ethernet, DDR, and international collaboration.

Responsibilities:

  1. Define and develop complex FPGA designs for our test products.
  2. Collaborate with system architects to determine how the FPGA will interface with other components on the PCA board and choose an appropriate FPGA based on project requirements.
  3. Ensure timely closure for complex designs.
  4. Develop self-checking simulation environments involving test benches, scripts for automation, and writing test cases.
  5. Work closely with cross-functional teams to develop new product offerings and improve existing ones.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in electrical/electronic engineering.
  • At least 7+ years of R&D experience in FPGA development using Altera and Xilinx tools.
  • Experience with RTL languages such as VHDL or Verilog.
  • Experience with Xilinx FPGA Tools Design Flow.
  • Experience with EDA functional simulation tools.
