Electrical Engineer Opportunity

This is a challenging role for an electrical engineer to design and develop electrical systems, including low voltage reticulation and distribution systems.

About the Role:

  • You will be responsible for designing and developing electrical systems, including low voltage reticulation and distribution systems.
  • You will operate AMTECH / Electrical OM software to produce designs for low voltage systems.
  • You will design general & emergency lighting systems, with good working knowledge of different lighting types and sources.
  • You will operate industry standard lighting design software for the design of general and emergency lighting systems.
  • You will design cable management systems (CMS), including trunking, tray, and conduits, preparing CMS sizing calculations and presenting results.
  • You will present designs onto schematic and 2D layout drawings.
  • You will model in 3D MEP services, including Cable Management Systems, Pipework, Ductwork etc using Bentley MicroStation and AecoSIM.
  • You will supervise and verify designer/modeler work to meet project requirements.
  • You will interpret client specification requirements in English to develop designs.
  • You will operate Microsoft Office package, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Requirements:

  1. Design low voltage reticulation and distribution systems (230/400Volt) including UPS sources.
  2. Operate AMTECH / Electrical OM software to produce design for low voltage systems, selecting cable types, protective devices and presenting results.
  3. Design general & emergency lighting systems, with good working knowledge of different lighting types and sources.
  4. Operate industry standard lighting design software for the design of general and emergency lighting systems.
  5. Design cable management systems (CMS), including trunking, tray, and conduits, preparing CMS sizing calculations and presenting results.
  6. Presentation of design onto schematic and 2D layout drawings.
  7. Model in 3D MEP services, including Cable Management Systems, Pipework, Ductwork etc using Bentley MicroStation and AecoSIM.
